Sumo Match!!
What a cultural experience!! This was an event that I will always cherish! I had so much fun watching this very traditional sport. After the sumo match we had a chanko dinner! This type of dinner is popular for sumo wrestlers to gain weight. This chanko dinner was very delicious. I have a lot to thank to Higuchi-son and Yoshi-son (who are the owners of KRT) for getting the tickets and inviting us to a great meal afterwards. These two individuals were very influential during our stay in Japan. They are extremely helpful and exceptional people. I recently learned that these two have tickets to seats up really close (like 6th row seats). They give them out to clients to express their gratitude and thanks for doing business with KRT. The sumo tournament is a very special event, and to have tickets up close is a great privilege. This is one example of how Japanese business is focused on maintaining long lasting relationships.
